 Richard Alvin Howell and Family Page

Richard Alvin Howell married Judy Ann Gotcher. I know I had their marriage date but it somehow did not make it into my database. I remember Grandma Howell gave it to me, She had their marriage certificate at her house.

I have combined Richards page and his families page because they had two children and one grandchild. I haven't found any photos of Aunt Judy in the photos I have but I will continue to look.

Uncle Richard and Aunt Judy had two children. Their first born was Gary Wayne Howell born May 12th, 1962. Gary was always a very caring person. After I had two surgeries on my hip with no success I was in great pain. Gary stayed with me and took care of my children and me. He made sure my children were fed and off to school everyday. Then he took care of my youngest child while also making sure I had my medication right on the dot in order to relieve my pain. I could not ask for anyone to be more caring. He was only sixteen at the time and he cared for us with  great love and patience. An adult could not have done better. I had to have another surgery to finally correct the problem.

Gary grew up to be a very handsome young man. He married Carol Shane and they had one son, Travis Wayne Howell born November 26, 1983. I regret that I do not have photos of Carol or Travis. I have not seen Travis since he was a baby.

Uncle Richard and Aunt Judy's second child was a daughter. Rita Faye Howell was born April 4, 1964.As far as I know Rita is not married and has no children. I have not seen Gary and Rita in many years.

After Uncle Richard and Aunt Judy divorced, Richard met Mavis. I do not know Mavis's last name but they were together for years As far as I know they were together when Uncle Richard died.. Mavis was very good to my mother. Richard and Mavis had a son. He died at birth and is buried in Dickson. I do not have the information on this child but will try to get it and add later.
