My Grandson's Page

Joseph Rodgers

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together...

there is something you must always remember.

You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think...

but the most important thing is, even if we're apart...

I'll always be with YOU."

~ Winnie the Pooh

Amanda asked me to add the "Winnie the Pooh" quote above. She repeats that quote to her son often and it is as wonderful as Joseph is.

After having all daughters and granddaughters we are now blessed with the most wonderful little boy. Each and every one of the girls have been a loving and wonderful experience with each having a personality of their own. Having Joseph for my only grandson is such a new and wonderful experience.

Joseph was born December 11th and you can tell from his photo that he is a special Christmas Gift. His little hand is permanently wrapped around all of the families hearts.

Joseph was not sure what a "Nana" was or if he would like to have a Nana when he first met me. He watched his new sister's with me for several hours before he would have anything to do with me. After he took it all in he decided having a Nana was great. He loves riding in the convertible with Nana so he can see the stars and moon.

We look forward to watching Joseph grow...seeing the ocean and dolphins for his first time...

collecting seashells and getting covered in sand...

fishing with blue eyes full of excitement...

we promise a big smile will cross our face as we watch the joy as you play in the leaves chasing your mom and sisters with mischief...

It will be a joy watching as Joseph chases butterflies...

comes home with frogs and little boy creatures in his tiny pockets...

looks at birds in flight with amazement...

investigates the miracle of life beginning...

his dreams will be soft and peaceful with the imagination of a fairy looking over him, a Magic Genie for his every wish and becoming an astronaut to explore the worlds...

Joseph will be Mom's little ballplayer...

And Nana's little First Mate and Future Skipper

on the sailboat...

At Christmas when the family comes to Nana's Baby Joe can be a train conductor...

And if scary creature's ever dare to enter our Baby Joe's world or dreams...there will always be someone there to chase them away...

Baby Joe, Our Pride and Joy!
