Come in and meet my sister!
Bonnie Ann Parrish Smith

Brenda & Bonnie - November 1957 |

Bonnie Ann Parrish was born January 4th, 1949 in Spring Creek, Perry County, Tennessee. I have no idea how they managed to get the photo above without me in it. I was glued to their hip
most of the time like a growth.
When I was three and Bonnie was about nine or ten, we lived beside highway 100 in Henderson, Tennessee. I was playing in the front yard and Bonnie saw me going toward the
highway. She ran out to get me but by the time she reached me she saw a Mayflower moving truck coming off the road into our yard. She grabbed me and ran with me but the truck ran over us. The driver had fallen asleep at the
wheel and came through our yard. Poor Sis tried to save me and she was also hit. We were lucky because I had a broken arm and Bonnie had a sprained arm. Well I also had a small hole in my forehead where they use to tease me
saying my brains leaked out.

I always thought my sister's were so beautiful. I love this photo of Bonnie. She spoiled me and watched over me. I always cuddled with
her at night. In the winter we would jump in that cold bed and I would almost crawl under Bonnie. She didn't complain, just hugged me close and kept me warm.

Bonnie and Barbara - March 1962 |
This is Bonnie and me, I think we are at grandma Howell's. The dress I have on is a pale pink satin with a black velvet belt. I will never forget that dress. I saw it in the store in Henderson. I
thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen but Mom said I couldn't have it. On my birthday I had a gift and was told it was from my siblings. It was that dress. Bonnie say's she does not remember it but now that I
am an adult I know that dress was bought with money they worked hard for in the cotton field. I wore that dress until I could no longer squeeze into it then I hung it up and said I was going to keep it forever. Mom secretly
gave it to my cousins and I was upset when I saw them wearing it. Everything else they could have but I could not believe Mom gave my favorite dress away.

This is
Bonnie with our dog or really it was her future husbands dog. Charles brought two hunting dogs to our house when they were dating. I named them Bonnie and Charles.

I think the above photo was made at my sister Brenda's House. We love to get together and eat and talk...and eat some more and talk:)

Brenda, Barbara & Bonnie - October 2005 |
This photo was taken last year at the surprise birthday party Cassandra gave me. It was great...we laughed and spent time together. My child knew exactly what would give me a happy birthday:)
